No Fun is the first single from critically acclaimed Irish electronica artist The Holy Roman Army’s third album ‘Modern European’. It is his first release in ten years after many years away from music. While working as a frontline doctor in a severely locked-down Ireland during the pandemic, Chris went back to music as a means of coping and eking out some joy at the end of long days.

Written during the blurred evenings that followed long days as a frontline doctor during the pandemic, No Fun is sketch of a lonely kid separated from his friends sitting on a rainy kerbside in Cologne. While feeling isolated in a heavily locked-down Ireland the HRA’s Chris examined ideas about Europe, and wrote an album around themes and electronic music from the continent- in this song the music of Ulrich Schnauss and the Morr label of the early century were the main inspiration.
